CoralTree Systems announces The Renaissance Framework
CoralTree Systems is delighted to announce the release of Version 5 of the Renaissance Framework. The Renaissance Framework is an Open Source developer's platform for the creation and deployment of robust, scalable and secure CGI-based applications on IBM's System i servers.

The Framework encapsulates many of the low-level technical complexities of CGI programming, such as security, session management, environment control, character encoding and AJAX technology, into a series of easy to use service program procedures and template programs, allowing the application programmer to focus on creating the application rather than worrying about the underlying infrastructure. It also provides easy access to the very latest rich user interface innovations by incorporating the leading Javascript UI libraries.
CoralTree Technical Director, Kevin Turner said, "We built the Renaissance Framework to enable our own developers to create browser-based applications as easily and reliably as they can create 'green screen' applications. Having achieved that, we believe that the best way to move the Framework forward is to effectively hand it over to the vibrant System i user community."

The Renaissance Framework, including full source code, may be freely downloaded from the product web site www.renaissanceframework.com. Also available at the same location are a running demo version of the Framework, and access to the product support forum.
